WWE 2K26 Patch 1.07 Live; Ringside Pass Gets Major Changes Ahead of Season 2

2K has pushed Patch 1.07 for WWE 2K26 across all platforms, and announced significant changes to the Ringside Pass system ahead of Season 2 launching April 15, and those changes are great news for players who were frustrated with how the system worked at launch (which was most of us).

The biggest Ringside Pass change is that starting with Season 2, all four DLC characters in future Premium Seasons will be available at Tier 1 and automatically unlockable when that season launches for Premium Pass holders. That directly addresses the main complaint with the Ringside Pass, which was having to grind a battle pass to access content you already paid for. It’s a step in the right direction, even if it took a ton of community pushback to get there.

2K is also giving players a head start on the grind in both seasons. All current and future players are being granted enough RXP to unlock 20 tiers in Season 1 automatically, with a 24 hour window to receive it after logging in. Players who have installed the game, linked a 2K account, and played prior to April 14 at 11:59pm PDT will also receive enough RXP to unlock 20 tiers when Season 2 launches. The required RXP per tier is also dropping from 800 to 625 for Season 2 and will not increase in future seasons, with RXP Boost values being increased as well.

On the gameplay side, Patch 1.07 is a large update. Stamina costs now increase more gradually over the course of a match, so players are less likely to get winded early, and reversals cost less stamina when you’re outnumbered. The damage threshold for referee attacks before triggering an instant DQ has been increased.

New moves added include Chelsea Green’s Cradle Flatliner, Blake Monroe’s Glamour Shot Finisher, and a new Solo Sikoa taunt. Thumbtack stability during online play has been improved, AI now attempts reversals after transitioning from front to rear grapple, and the reported issue of movesets reverting to defaults while using an alt attire has been addressed.

Universe Mode received the most extensive fixes in the patch, covering a long list of issues including match cards resetting when leaving the mode, Royal Rumble matches generating incorrectly, Watch Show losing crowd audio, custom superstars having 0 HP, managers and referees not being assignable as Special Referee, Automatic Rivalries triggering when turned off, championship matches not being created during promos, and many more. Three new options have also been added to Universe: a wear and tear setting that keeps superstars damaged across multiple appearances on the same show, a rivalry breaks option to control match prioritization at PLEs, and a watch show referee counts option for HUD visibility in watch mode. Draft stability and consistency received significant attention as well, with numerous fixes across the board.

The Create Suite got a substantial round of bug fixes across Create-A-Superstar, Create-An-Arena, Create-An-Entrance, Create-A-Victory, Create-A-Championship, Create-An-Image, and Create-A-Video, addressing soft locks, UI issues, clipping problems, and various functionality concerns throughout. MyFaction fixes include Pack Vouchers now being immediately accessible without restarting the mode, Quick Swap animation issues, run-in related bugs, Faction Wars progression problems, and a crash fix for PvP matches. MyRise gets a tuned rate for earning Match Stars to speed up progression in RISE Matches, and Barron Blade has been unlocked as a manager.

Presentation improvements include fixes to Elimination Chamber pod timing, better camera collision for steel cages, improved entrance framing in Gauntlet matches, and a fix for the Royal Rumble picture-in-picture fading when the UI fades. The Island gets a Double VC earn event in the Order of Tradition Solo PvP running March 30 through April 15 and the ability to Prestige directly from the Training menu.

The Ringside Pass changes are a direct response to community feedback and are a meaningful improvement over how Season 1 launched. It was one of my biggest gripes with the game, and contributed to the game being memed for being extremely greedy. Making DLC characters available at Tier 1 for Premium players is the right call and should have been how it worked from day one. The patch itself is one of the more comprehensive updates the game has seen yet, covering an enormous number of reported issues across nearly every mode in the game.
