What was supposed to be a heavyweight SEC showdown between Alabama and Georgia turned into a night of absolute disbelief inside the Halls of Titanquisitor. As questionable officiating decisions piled up, Gary, Thalia, and Titan grew increasingly furious, but nothing compared to the fourth-quarter no-call when Alabama receiver Rico Scott was knocked down in the end zone without a defensive pass interference flag in sight. Georgia escaped Tuscaloosa with a 20–17 victory, while the three Alabama faithful in the Halls were left wondering what the hell the officials had been watching all night. Needless to say, the television lounge was not a peaceful place Saturday evening.

Well, there you have it, folks. What should have been a fantastic Saturday night of SEC football turned into an evening of yelling at the television, questioning the eyesight of college football officials, and trying to convince Titan that storming the SEC offices probably isn’t the best way to handle a loss.
Alabama certainly had opportunities to win the game, but that doesn’t make the officiating any less frustrating, especially when a questionable call can change the course of a game and an apparent pass interference in the end zone goes uncalled with so much on the line. Georgia walked away with a 20–17 victory, and the rest of us were left wondering how some of those decisions could possibly be justified.
As for Thalia, she’s still demanding an investigation, Titan is preparing to petition the gods of Olympus for justice, and I’m just trying to enjoy what’s left of my Saturday night without throwing something through the television.
Roll Tide, anyway.
What did you think of the officiating in Alabama’s loss to Georgia? Were the Crimson Tide robbed of an opportunity, or did Alabama simply fail to capitalize when it mattered? Let us know in the comments, and visit the Tales of Titanquisitor archives for more madness from inside the Halls.
