The World Wrestling Federation rolled into the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, Saturday night for Money in the Bank 2026, featuring two ladder matches, two World Championship defenses, and a battle between two of the biggest men on the roster.
By the time the evening was over, we had two new Money in the Bank contract holders, a new Women’s World Champion, and Roman Reigns still sitting atop the mountain as World Heavyweight Champion.
Here’s everything that happened at WWF Money in the Bank!
Roman Reigns Retains Against LA Knight
World Heavyweight Championship — Roman Reigns (c) defeated LA Knight
Roman Reigns successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight in a hard-fought contest that saw the challenger come dangerously close to capturing his first World Championship.
Knight had the New Orleans crowd firmly behind him and managed to frustrate the Tribal Chief early in the match. Reigns eventually took control with his familiar power offense, but Knight refused to stay down, avoiding a Spear that sent the champion crashing into the ring post.
The Megastar nearly pulled off the upset after countering another Spear into the BFT, but Reigns managed to kick out. Knight also survived a Spear himself, keeping the championship in doubt as the action spilled outside the ring.
Things became particularly destructive when Reigns crashed through the barricade and Knight drove him through the announce table with a powerbomb. Unfortunately for the challenger, even that wasn’t enough.
Reigns eventually connected with a series of Superman Punches followed by a decisive Spear to retain his championship.
The trouble wasn’t over for the Bloodline, however. The 946 appeared following the match, leading to a confrontation with The Usos and Solo Sikoa that erupted into a brawl through the arena and eventually into the parking lot.
Winner: Roman Reigns — Still World Heavyweight Champion
Tiffany Stratton Wins Women’s Money in the Bank
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match — Tiffany Stratton defeated Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Lola Vice, and Jacy Jayne
Tiffany Stratton is once again Miss Money in the Bank!
Six women entered the ladder match hoping to secure a guaranteed future World Championship opportunity, but it was Stratton who ultimately climbed the ladder and retrieved the briefcase.
The field included an interesting mixture of established talent and rising stars, with Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Lola Vice, and Jacy Jayne all looking to take a major step forward in their careers.
For Tiffany, however, the victory puts her right back into one of the most advantageous positions in the women’s division. She now holds a contract that could allow her to challenge for a World Championship at a moment of her choosing over the next year.
The question now becomes which champion she’ll target, and just how long she’ll wait before making her move.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton — Miss Money in the Bank 2026
Oba Femi Defeats Bronson Reed
Singles Match — Oba Femi defeated Bronson Reed
Two of the biggest and most physically imposing competitors in the WWF collided when Oba Femi stepped into the ring with Bronson Reed.
There was no championship or briefcase hanging in the balance here. This was a contest built around two powerful men trying to establish their dominance, and Femi emerged victorious.
Reed entered the match with members of The Vision in his corner, including Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and Maxxine Dupri, but their presence wasn’t enough to prevent the Ruler from picking up the win.
The victory represents another significant accomplishment for Femi, who continues to establish himself as a serious force in the WWF.
Winner: Oba Femi
Liv Morgan Captures the WWF Women’s World Championship
WWF Women’s World Championship — Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer (c) and Becky Lynch
We have a new WWF Women’s World Champion!
Stephanie Vaquer entered Money in the Bank hoping to retain her championship against two dangerous challengers, but the Triple Threat Match ended with Liv Morgan capturing the title.
With Becky Lynch also involved, Vaquer faced the difficult task of defending her championship in a match where she didn’t even have to be the person defeated to lose the title.
Morgan ultimately emerged victorious, bringing Vaquer’s reign to an end and returning herself to the top of the women’s division.
The championship change immediately creates several interesting possibilities moving forward. Vaquer will undoubtedly have something to say about losing her title, while Lynch remains firmly in the championship picture.
And with Tiffany Stratton now holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, the new champion may already have another potential challenger watching her every move.
Winner: Liv Morgan — NEW Women’s World Champion
Penta Wins Men’s Money in the Bank
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match — Penta defeated CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Bron Breakker
In perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening, Penta emerged victorious in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match!
The six-man field featured an impressive combination of established stars and rising talent, with CM Punk and Kevin Owens bringing their experience into a match that also included Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Bron Breakker, and Penta.
While several competitors entered the evening looking like potential winners, it was Penta who climbed the ladder and secured the contract for a future World Championship opportunity.
The victory gives Penta one of the most valuable opportunities in the entire company, and it opens the door for an interesting new direction in the World Championship picture.
With Roman Reigns still holding the World Heavyweight Championship and Sami Zayn reigning as WWF Champion, Penta now has some important decisions to make.
When will he cash in? Which champion will he target? And will he choose to announce his intentions ahead of time or wait until the opportunity presents itself?
For now, one thing is certain: Penta is Mr. Money in the Bank 2026.

Stinger’s View
Well, Money in the Bank 2026 is officially in the books, and we’ve got two new briefcase holders and a new Women’s World Champion to show for it. Roman Reigns survived LA Knight, Oba Femi picked up another big victory, and Tiffany Stratton once again finds herself holding a guaranteed championship opportunity.
As for my predictions, I managed to get three out of five correct, which isn’t too bad considering how unpredictable these things can be. Remember, anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation! I had Roman Reigns retaining, Oba Femi beating Bronson Reed, and Tiffany Stratton winning the women’s briefcase. Unfortunately, Bron Breakker didn’t come through for me in the men’s ladder match, and Stephanie Vaquer lost her championship to Liv Morgan.
Penta winning Money in the Bank certainly wasn’t what I expected, but I’ll give him credit. He’s an interesting choice, and I’m curious to see what the WWF does with him now that he’s carrying the briefcase. I still don’t particularly care for the concept, and giving somebody a championship opportunity they can cash in whenever they want isn’t going to suddenly become my favorite thing in wrestling, but at least they’ve got some potentially interesting stories to tell.
The biggest immediate development, though, is Liv Morgan becoming Women’s World Champion. With Tiffany Stratton holding the briefcase, there’s already an obvious possibility for future trouble, and that’s before we even consider Stephanie Vaquer wanting another shot at the title.
As for Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief remains champion, but judging by what happened after his match with LA Knight, his problems with The 946 and the Bloodline aren’t going away anytime soon.
That’s another Money in the Bank in the record books. Now let’s see whether the WWF can turn these results into some good television without spending the next several months reminding us every five minutes that somebody has a briefcase.
The results are late because I had to come back to it after stopping to watch Alabama get screwed repeatedly by the officials against a great Georgia team.
And yes, I still hate Money in the Bank. Some things never change.
What did you think of WWF Money in the Bank 2026? Were Tiffany Stratton and Penta the right choices to win the briefcases, and what do you think about Liv Morgan becoming Women’s World Champion? Let us know in the comments below!
