Dragonkin: The Banished Is Now Available on PC and Consoles
Dragonkin: The Banished, the hack and slash from French developer Eko Software and publisher NACON, has launched in its final version on PC via Steam today. Console players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S get the full release on March 19, though Digital Deluxe (Blood Scales) Edition owners on consoles can access the final version now.
The game spent a year in Steam Early Access starting March 6, 2025, with the development team using that time to incorporate community feedback. It’s sitting at 85% positive reviews on Steam since its last update, which is a solid foundation heading into the full launch.
Eko Software is best known for Warhammer: Chaosbane and the How to Survive series.
In Dragonkin, players choose from four dragon hunters and work to free humanity from an invading draconic army. The build system is built around something called the Ancestral Grid, where you pair skills with fragments found during your adventure to develop your character.
There’s also a hub city called Montescail where you set up your strategy between runs, and you’re accompanied throughout by a companion whelp. The game promises deep theorycrafting, an endgame with plenty of activities, and epic boss fights.
Dragonkin: The Banished is out now on PC and hits PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 19.
