PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for October 2026 Revealed: Mafia, Horizon, Mycopunk and More

Greetings, gamers! Titan here, descending from the mighty Halls of Titanquisitor with news of fresh adventures awaiting PlayStation Plus subscribers this October!

Sony has pulled back the curtain on the latest additions to its PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, and there’s a little something for just about everybody this month. We’ve got organized crime in Sicily, mechanical monstrosities roaming the American frontier, an infestation of alien fungi, and enough Japanese role-playing goodness to keep even the most dedicated adventurers occupied for weeks.

Not a bad haul, if I do say so myself.

Leading the charge is Mafia: The Old Country, which takes players back to the dangerous criminal underworld of early 1900s Sicily. If trading thunderbolts for shotguns and settling family disputes the old-fashioned way sounds appealing, this one’s worth a look.

Then there’s Horizon Forbidden West, bringing Aloy and her mechanical adversaries back to the PlayStation Plus catalog. I must admit, even a god who has witnessed the wonders of Olympus can appreciate the sight of a colossal mechanical beast stomping across a beautiful landscape.

For those who prefer their adventures a little more chaotic, Mycopunk arrives on October 20 with cooperative shooting, customizable weapons, and enough hostile fungal creatures to make you reconsider eating mushrooms for dinner.

And RPG fans haven’t been forgotten, either. Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition joins the festivities on October 27, offering a sprawling fantasy adventure filled with memorable characters, spectacular battles, and the sort of world-saving heroics that we here at Titanquisitor wholeheartedly approve of.

The main lineup arrives October 20, with a few titles joining earlier or later in the month. Let’s take a closer look at what awaits us!

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog

Mafia: The Old Country (PS5)

Available October 20

It’s an offer you can’t refuse! Mafia: The Old Country takes players back to early 1900s Sicily, where organized crime is flourishing and loyalty to the Family can mean the difference between life and death.

Players step into the shoes of Enzo Favara, a young man determined to prove himself in the brutal criminal underworld. Expect cinematic storytelling, deadly vendettas, knife fights, shotguns, and enough family drama to make a Greek tragedy look like a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

Horizon Forbidden West (PS5, PS4)

Available October 20

Aloy returns to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, and she’s bringing an entire mechanical menagerie with her!

Horizon Forbidden West sends players into a breathtaking post-apocalyptic frontier filled with dangerous machines, mysterious tribes, ancient secrets, and spectacular landscapes. With a massive world to explore and towering mechanical beasts to bring down, this is the sort of grand adventure that can easily consume dozens of hours.

The game previously appeared in the catalog, so this is a welcome return for subscribers who missed their opportunity the first time around.

Mycopunk (PS5)

Available October 20 — Day One Release

Alien mushrooms are taking over a planet, and apparently the best solution is to send in a squad of dysfunctional robots armed to the teeth. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me!

Mycopunk is a cooperative, mission-based looter shooter supporting up to four players. You’ll blast your way through hordes of fungal enemies, collect upgrades, customize your equipment, and uncover the truth behind a mysterious planetary catastrophe.

Better yet, the game arrives in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on its PlayStation launch day. It’s always nice to see something brand-new joining the service alongside established titles.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 (PS5, PS4)

Available October 27

Just in time for Halloween, we’re heading back into a toy factory that would give even the bravest Olympian nightmares.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 continues the unsettling adventure through the abandoned Playtime Co. factory, where seemingly innocent toys have developed some decidedly unpleasant habits.

Players will solve puzzles, navigate dangerous environments, and attempt to survive encounters with monstrous playthings. If you enjoyed the first chapter, there’s more nightmare fuel waiting for you here.

The Midnight Walk (PS5)

Available October 14

Now here’s something unusual.

The Midnight Walk is a dark fantasy adventure featuring a world handcrafted from real clay and brought to life through stop-motion-inspired animation. Players become the Burnt One, journeying alongside a little lantern creature named Potboy through a land filled with strange wonders and terrifying creatures.

The entire presentation looks like a twisted fairy tale come to life, and I must say, there’s something refreshing about a game embracing such a distinctive artistic style.

It’s also playable with PlayStation VR2 for those who want to experience this strange world a little more personally.

Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition (PS5, PS4)

Available October 27

Ah, now we’re talking! A grand Japanese role-playing adventure filled with swords, magic, spectacular battles, and a world desperately in need of heroes. That’s practically a holiday in Olympus!

Tales of Arise tells the story of two individuals from opposing worlds caught in a struggle against centuries of oppression. Along the way, players assemble a memorable party of companions, explore a beautiful fantasy world, and engage in fast-paced action combat.

This edition also includes the Beyond the Dawn expansion, giving adventurers even more story to experience.

For RPG enthusiasts looking for something substantial to sink their teeth into, this could easily be one of October’s most appealing additions.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game (PS5)

Available October 27

Enough swords and sorcery. It’s time to trade our trusty steeds for motorcycles!

Monster Energy Supercross 25 brings professional dirt-bike racing to the catalog, featuring real-world riders, redesigned tracks, and a career mode built around competition and rivalries.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game features evolving track conditions and updated physics designed to make every race feel more authentic.

Personally, I find there’s something wonderfully satisfying about launching a motorcycle through the air at ridiculous speeds. Landing it successfully, of course, is another matter entirely.

PlayStation Plus Premium Classics

Dino Crisis 2 (PS5, PS4)

Available October 20

BY THE GODS! DINOSAURS!

Now here’s an addition that should get some retro gaming enthusiasts excited.

Originally released for the PlayStation in 2000, Capcom’s Dino Crisis 2 trades much of its predecessor’s slower survival horror atmosphere for a faster, more action-packed prehistoric adventure.

Regina returns alongside newcomer Dylan as players battle their way through jungles, caves, and other dangerous environments crawling with hungry dinosaurs.

As someone who appreciates the glory days of PlayStation gaming, I’m always pleased to see another classic preserved for modern audiences. And really, who doesn’t enjoy blasting their way through a horde of prehistoric monsters?

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition (PS5, PS4)

Available October 20

Ever wanted to build your own amusement park, fill it with thrilling attractions, and watch the money roll in? Or perhaps design the most absurd roller coaster imaginable simply because you can?

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition gives players the tools to create and manage their own amusement parks, balancing finances, staff, attractions, and the happiness of their guests.

Of course, for those who prefer building without worrying about budgets, there’s also a sandbox mode where creativity can run wild.

Even the gods appreciate a good roller coaster. Although I suspect Zeus would insist on making his the tallest.

More PlayStation Plus Perks This October

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will also gain access to new game trials for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II beginning October 20.

Meanwhile, Sony is celebrating Halloween with its Horrorfest promotions, including exclusive in-game content for World War Z, Back 4 Blood, and a potential Dead by Daylight reward tied to a community challenge.

There are also limited-time offers involving Back 4 Blood downloadable content and the Until Dawn movie through Sony Pictures Core.

Titan’s Take: All things considered, I’d call this a respectable month for PlayStation Plus.

Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West provide the big-budget adventures, Tales of Arise brings some substantial RPG goodness, and Mycopunk offers something fresh for cooperative gaming enthusiasts.

But I must admit, seeing Dino Crisis 2 joining the Premium classics collection puts a particularly large smile beneath this magnificent beard of mine. There’s just something special about those original PlayStation games, and I’m always happy when another one finds its way onto modern hardware.

Of course, the real value of any subscription service depends on whether you’re actually interested in playing what’s being offered. A hundred games mean very little if none of them appeal to you. Still, there’s a healthy variety here, and variety is something I always appreciate.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a few games to add to my ever-growing backlog. Even the gods haven’t figured out how to conquer that particular beast.

Until next time, gamers, may your adventures be legendary!
