Stinger’s View: Talk about overdoing shit. We’ve got three hours, two shows, two matches that are both for a championship while also serving as qualifiers for a different match. A tag team main event, two Trios Matches, and another women’s tag match. Let’s just get everybody on the show!
I only half-joke, of course. The card actually looks decent. There’s certainly no shortage of talent, and with five Clockwork Carnage qualifying matches, at least there’s something at stake in a good portion of the action.
I still think it’s a little ridiculous that you’ve got guys defending championships while simultaneously trying to qualify for another championship match, but that’s modern professional wrestling for you. Why do one thing when you can do three at the same time?
Ospreay and Andrade against Joe and Ciampa should be good, and there are several singles matches that have the potential to deliver. I’m particularly interested in seeing what Takeshita and Brian Cage do together, and Okada against Myron Reed could be a good one as well.
I don’t particularly care to watch three hours of it, though, so I’ll probably skip the third hour (“Collision”) and call it a night. Nothing against Collision, but two hours of wrestling on a Wednesday night is plenty for me. Should be a good show at any rate. You never know.
