Sony revealed the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for May 2026, and this is one of the stronger months in a while. Star Wars Outlaws and Red Dead Redemption 2 headline the Extra tier, with a solid supporting lineup of smaller titles. Premium members get Time Crisis. Everything goes live May 19th.
Star Wars Outlaws is the big get here in terms of newness and likihood you may not already own it. The first open-world Star Wars game lets you play as Kay Vess, a scoundrel navigating the galaxy’s crime syndicates across multiple planets. The game launched last year to mixed-to-positive reception, with most people agreeing that the open world itself was fantastic even if the stealth mechanics needed work. If you held off on buying it at full price, this is the ideal way to check it out.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a re-release to the Game Catalog, meaning it was on the service before, left, and is now coming back. If you somehow haven’t played this game yet, stop reading this article and go download it on May 19. Rockstar’s sprawling Western about Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang is one of the best single-player experiences ever made. It’s the PS4 version, which runs fine on PS5. Red Dead Online is included.
Bramble: The Mountain King is a dark adventure game inspired by Nordic folklore where you play as a young boy rescuing his sister from a troll. It’s creepy, atmospheric, and flew under the radar when it first launched. Worth a download if you like unsettling fairy tale vibes.
The Thaumaturge is a narrative RPG set in early 1900s Warsaw where you play as a mystic who can peer into people’s minds and summon folklore-inspired demons for turn-based tactical combat. It’s niche, but the setting alone makes it interesting. You don’t see many games set in pre-war Poland.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a Souls-lite from the team behind Ashen. Gods, guns, and magic in a battle for humanity’s survival. It’s lighter on difficulty than a traditional Soulslike, which makes it a decent entry point if you’re curious about the genre but don’t want to bash your head against a wall for 40 hours.
Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged is an enhanced version of the classic 90s point-and-click adventure. Globe-spanning story, ancient mysteries, Knights Templar conspiracies. If you grew up on adventure games, this one’s a nostalgia trip.
Enotria: The Last Song is another Soulslike, this one set in a sun-lit world inspired by Italian folklore. You wear masks of fallen enemies to gain new abilities and swap between three custom loadouts. Two Soulslikes in one month is a lot, but at least they have completely different aesthetics.
For Premium members, Time Crisis returns. The original arcade shooter that debuted on PlayStation in 1997 is back on PS4 and PS5 with the original console-exclusive stages and new gyro aiming support. If you spent quarters on Time Crisis at the arcade as a kid, this is pure nostalgia fuel.
Everything in the May Game Catalog goes live on May 19.
