AVFR: WWF NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 Preview & Predictions — Trick or Treat

NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 Preview and Predictions AVFR

Halloween Havoc is finally upon us, ladies and gentlemen, and for the first time in quite a while, the World Wrestling Federation has managed to schedule its annual Halloween spectacle on ACTUAL HALLOWEEN! What a concept!

And yes, nine-year-old me would be scratching his little head at the thought of seeing World Wrestling Federation and Halloween Havoc in the same sentence.

Tomorrow night, October 31, NXT invades the WWF Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, with six advertised matches, two championships on the line, the return of Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal, and Danhausen serving as our very nice, very evil host.

And that means it’s time for another edition of AVFR — A View From the Rafters, where we put our wrestling knowledge, questionable instincts, and occasionally ridiculous predictions to the test. Because that’s what AVFR has become, previews and predictions. I know, a sad state of affairs for a once-great series, but easy content is easy content, and so we roll on.

We’ve examined the card, discussed the possibilities, and reached an agreement on five of the six matches.

Who the hell is we?

We may never know, my friends!

But before we get to any of that, we’ve discovered a problem.

A BIG problem.

An omission so outrageous that we’re beginning to question whether WWF management understands the extraordinary gift it’s been given.

Trick or Treat? Where the Hell Is Chantel Monroe?!

After carefully examining the promotional material, we’ve discovered a rather disturbing omission, one that is not to be tolerated here in the rafters of Titanquisitor Hall!

WHERE THE HELL IS CHANTEL MONROE?!

I mean, for crying out loud, WWF management has been handed an extraordinary gift in this talented young woman, and they haven’t even bothered to advertise her for Halloween Havoc!

Do these people not understand the assignment?! Is Shawn Michaels even awake?

Now, perhaps we’re being tricked. Perhaps management has somehow, inexplicably, forgotten that Chantel Monroe exists, in which case somebody in the promotional department deserves a stern talking-to. Maybe a strongly worded email needs to be sent to one Mr. Hickenbottom? I will find out who to take this up with, believe me. I am not just THE top reporter for THE worldwide leader in professional wrestling coverage, but I’m also a world-class investigator.

Or perhaps, ladies and gentlemen, we’re in for a treat!

Maybe they’re saving her for a surprise appearance, much like the incomparable Linnea Quigley unexpectedly popping up in some forgotten horror movie with her tits out!

You weren’t expecting her, you didn’t know she was coming, but by God, you’re certainly happy she showed up!

Of course, I should clarify that I’m referring to the delightful surprise of seeing a talented performer make an unexpected appearance, not suggesting that Chantel should follow Miss Quigley’s particular approach to cinematic entertainment.

Although I’m reasonably certain Thalia would appreciate the comparison.

In any event, I sincerely hope WWF management has something planned for Chantel Monroe tomorrow night, because Halloween Havoc without one half of Titanquisitor’s beloved Monroe twins would be a disappointment of monstrous proportions.

And before Theia interrupts to remind me that Blake and Chantel aren’t actually related, I KNOW! I have eyes that work; I can see the difference in their appearances!

It’s an affectionate nickname, not a genealogical investigation! Although I am certainly prepared to devote as many hours as it takes to investigate further.

Now, with that extremely important matter addressed, let’s examine the six matches that WWF’s NXT actually bothered to advertise for this Premium Live Event that airs on network TV (and the ESPN Unlimited app).

And before we begin, we can finally reveal who we is. Yes, I know how that sounds, but it’s grammatically accurate as far as I’m concerned, considering what I’m about to say. I know, we’ve confused you, and quite possibly ourselves, but the mysterious we is none other than yours truly, Stinger, joined for tonight’s predictions by our resident Glyphkeeper, Maddie!

NXT Championship: Grayson Waller (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo

Our first championship encounter features Grayson Waller defending the NXT Championship against Tony D’Angelo, the man he defeated to capture the title at Heatwave.

Waller’s championship victory came with an assist from Cruz Montana, who attacked D’Angelo during the four-way match and allowed Waller to capitalize. Since then, Tony has been determined to reclaim the championship, earning his opportunity by defeating Myles Borne earlier this month.

The rivalry has become increasingly personal, with Waller attempting to get inside D’Angelo’s head by involving his family and leading him on a ridiculous chase around Central Florida.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, I understand that professional wrestling thrives on personal rivalries, but when somebody starts showing up outside another man’s house, we’re moving beyond the usual championship trash talk.

Tony finally caught up with Waller at the Performance Center, and the two ended Tuesday’s NXT in a parking-lot brawl.

Which brings us to Halloween Havoc.

Stinger’s Prediction: Tony D’Angelo

I think Tony finally gets his revenge and reclaims the championship. Waller has been playing games for weeks, and Halloween Havoc seems like the perfect opportunity for D’Angelo to make him pay.

Maddie’s Prediction: Tony D’Angelo

I’m agreeing with Stinger. Waller has done an effective job making himself the villain of this rivalry, but the story feels ready for D’Angelo to overcome the mind games and regain the championship he lost at Heatwave. Tony winning would provide a satisfying conclusion while giving NXT a champion with a renewed sense of purpose.

AVFR Verdict: Tony D’Angelo wins the NXT Championship.

Two votes for The Don! Hip-hip-hooray!

NXT Women’s Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Wren Sinclair

Now THIS is where things get interesting! As is always the case when the women are involved.

Kelani Jordan defends the NXT Women’s Championship against Wren Sinclair, who earned her opportunity through one of the most entertaining acts of deception we’ve seen in recent memory.

After being suspended for striking an official, Wren apparently decided that the appropriate response was to disguise herself as AAA wrestler Lady Shani, enter a 20-woman battle royal, and WIN THE DAMN THING!

I have to admire the ingenuity.

Naturally, Kelani wasn’t thrilled about the situation, but General Manager Robert Stone reinstated Sinclair and confirmed her championship opportunity.

And so here we are.

Wren has an opportunity to capture the championship, while Kelani attempts to continue a reign that began when she defeated Kendal Grey at Heatwave.

But this match has also sparked our first genuine disagreement of the evening.

Stinger’s Prediction: Wren Sinclair

I think it’s time for Wren to win the championship, and not simply because we’ve developed a fondness for celebrating Wrensday around the Halls.

Kelani has accomplished plenty in NXT, and I wouldn’t be surprised if WWF is beginning to consider moving her to the main roster. Halloween Havoc would provide an excellent opportunity to pass the championship to Wren while allowing Kelani to begin preparing for the next stage of her career.

Of course, that transition could wait until after the Royal Rumble, but I think the possibility of a call-up makes a title change worth considering.

Maddie’s Prediction: Kelani Jordan

Stinger makes an excellent argument, and I certainly wouldn’t object to Wren getting her championship moment. But I’m not convinced WWF is ready to end Kelani’s reign just yet.

A strong defense at Halloween Havoc would allow Jordan to continue building her championship résumé, while Wren could emerge from a competitive defeat looking more credible than ever. If a main-roster move is coming, I suspect the company may prefer to save it for the Royal Rumble season or shortly afterward.

This is my least confident prediction of the night, and I won’t be particularly disappointed if Stinger proves me wrong.

AVFR Verdict: SPLIT DECISION!

Stinger picks Wren Sinclair.

Maddie picks Kelani Jordan.

Why not add Chantel Monroe to make this a triple-threat match?

Weapons Wild Match: Myles Borne vs. Tavion Heights

Former friends and tag team partners Myles Borne and Tavion Heights have reached the point where ordinary wrestling rules apparently aren’t sufficient to settle their differences.

And when professional wrestling reaches that point, there’s only one sensible solution.

GIVE THEM WEAPONS!

The two have been engaged in an increasingly bitter rivalry, with Borne launching attacks on his former partner and Heights responding with violence of his own.

During Tuesday’s NXT, Danhausen’s druids spun the Halloween Havoc wheel, and the result was a Weapons Wild Match.

Now, I don’t know about you, but anytime a group of druids determines the rules of a professional wrestling match, I begin to question whether the athletic commission has completely abandoned its responsibilities.

Nevertheless, this should be a hard-hitting contest between two competitors who know each other extremely well.

Stinger’s Prediction: Myles Borne

I think Borne wins this one. His aggression has helped define the rivalry, and a Weapons Wild Match gives him an opportunity to demonstrate just how dangerous he’s willing to become.

Maddie’s Prediction: Myles Borne

I’m agreeing again. Heights has every reason to want revenge, but Borne’s increasingly ruthless behavior makes him my pick to emerge victorious. The stipulation also allows both men to look dangerous without requiring a conventional wrestling match.

AVFR Verdict: Myles Borne wins.

And hopefully somebody remembers to inspect the weapons before the match.

We’ve already watched the Hardys fight in a slaughterhouse this week. I think we’ve had enough axes for one Halloween.

Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal: Zilla Fatu vs. Charlie Dempsey

Zilla Fatu has been dealing with the increasingly unpleasant members of BirthRight, who apparently didn’t appreciate his refusal to join their organization.

Their response?

Attack him repeatedly and target his injured hand.

An interesting recruitment strategy, ladies and gentlemen.

Charlie Dempsey now faces Fatu at Halloween Havoc, with the stipulation determined by the infamous wheel.

And unlike the Weapons Wild Match, we still don’t know exactly what these two men will be forced to endure.

Will it be a street fight? A cage match? Something involving pumpkins, chains, or an assortment of Halloween decorations?

With Danhausen hosting, I wouldn’t rule out anything.

Fatu brings tremendous power and intensity, while Dempsey possesses the technical wrestling ability to exploit an opponent’s weaknesses.

And Fatu’s injured hand certainly qualifies as a weakness.

Stinger’s Prediction: Zilla Fatu

I’m going with Fatu. BirthRight has made his life miserable, and Halloween Havoc seems like the right opportunity for him to get some revenge.

Maddie’s Prediction: Zilla Fatu

I agree. Dempsey’s technical skills and Fatu’s injured hand create some uncertainty, especially with the stipulation unknown, but Fatu overcoming the faction’s attacks would make for a satisfying result.

AVFR Verdict: Zilla Fatu wins.

Of course, if the wheel lands on something completely ridiculous, we reserve the right to reconsider. Even after the fact, that’s just how it works.

And no, Danhausen, that isn’t an invitation to invent a Haunted Pumpkin on a Pole Match.

Zaria vs. Izzi Dame — Non-Title Match

NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria faces Izzi Dame in one of the more unusual situations on tomorrow night’s card.

You see, Zaria actually offered Dame a championship opportunity.

And Dame turned it down.

SHE TURNED DOWN A CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!

Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve spent years watching wrestlers betray their closest friends, interfere in matches, and climb ladders just for an opportunity to challenge for a championship.

And here we have somebody being handed a title match who apparently decided she’d rather get inside the champion’s head.

I suppose there’s a strategy involved, although I must admit it’s an interesting one.

Dame has succeeded in frustrating Zaria, and that may be precisely what she wants. A distracted champion is often a vulnerable champion, even when the title isn’t on the line.

But Zaria isn’t exactly somebody I’d recommend provoking unnecessarily.

Stinger’s Prediction: Zaria

I’m picking the champion. Izzi may be playing mind games, but I expect Zaria’s power and intensity to be the deciding factors. Not that it ultimately matters, since the championship is on the line.

Maddie’s Prediction: Zaria

Another agreement. Dame’s refusal to challenge for the championship suggests she’s interested in something beyond an immediate title victory, but I think Zaria wins the match and reminds everyone why she’s the champion.

AVFR Verdict: Zaria wins.

And perhaps somebody can explain to Izzi Dame that championship opportunities aren’t generally something you should decline.

Unless, of course, she knows something we don’t. Which, she works there, so she very well may. If we had money to hand out, we could put on the payroll as an inside source.

Shiloh Hill vs. Naraku

Our final advertised match features Shiloh Hill battling the mysterious Naraku, whose preferred method of settling disagreements apparently involves spraying people in the face with various colors of mist.

Now, I’m all for psychological warfare in professional wrestling, but I do wonder whether somebody should be testing this substance before allowing it anywhere near another competitor’s eyeballs.

Naraku previously cost Hill an opportunity at the NXT North American Championship, and their rivalry has continued through a series of increasingly bizarre encounters.

Hill has even attempted to use his chemistry knowledge to develop a countermeasure for Naraku’s mist.

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen.

We’re now at the point where professional wrestlers are conducting scientific research to prepare for their matches.

Somewhere, William Regal is probably shaking his head.

Naraku has promised even more dangerous surprises, including the possibility of black mist, while Hill is determined to finally overcome his mysterious opponent.

Stinger’s Prediction: Naraku

I think Naraku wins. His mysterious presentation and unusual offense give him an advantage, and another victory would help establish him as a serious threat in NXT.

Maddie’s Prediction: Naraku

I’m agreeing with Stinger. Hill has demonstrated impressive determination, but Naraku’s character benefits from maintaining an aura of danger and unpredictability. I suspect his unusual tactics will play a role in the outcome.

AVFR Verdict: Naraku wins.

And somebody please get Shiloh Hill a decent pair of protective goggles.

At this point, that seems like a reasonable investment.

Danhausen’s Halloween Havoc — Very Nice, Very Evil, and Probably Completely Ridiculous

Of course, no discussion of tomorrow night’s event would be complete without mentioning our host.

Danhausen has been entrusted with overseeing the Halloween festivities, which means the evening could feature practically anything.

Costumes? Certainly.

Druids? Apparently.

Curses? Almost guaranteed.

An unexpected appearance from Chantel Monroe?

NOW WE’RE TALKING!

But seriously, Danhausen is a fitting host for an event that has always embraced professional wrestling’s more ridiculous side.

Halloween Havoc has given us some wonderfully memorable moments over the years, along with a few spectacles that probably seemed like better ideas during the production meeting.

And considering I’m revisiting the infamous Chamber of Horrors Match from Halloween Havoc 1991 for Superstation Saturdays, we’re well aware of how spectacularly strange this event can become.

Let’s just hope nobody decides to bring back the electric chair.

AVFR Predictions Scorecard

Kelani Jordan vs. Wren Sinclair Wren Sinclair Kelani Jordan
Myles Borne vs. Tavion Heights Myles Borne Myles Borne
Zilla Fatu vs. Charlie Dempsey Zilla Fatu Zilla Fatu
Zaria vs. Izzi Dame Zaria Zaria
Shiloh Hill vs. Naraku Naraku Naraku

Five agreements, one disagreement, and six opportunities for WWF management to make us look like complete idiots!

And that’s half the fun.

Final Thoughts: Trick or Treat?

Halloween Havoc 2026 has the potential to deliver an entertaining evening of professional wrestling, with two championship matches, personal rivalries, unusual stipulations, and enough Halloween atmosphere to satisfy even the most enthusiastic horror fan.

Tony D’Angelo attempting to reclaim the NXT Championship should provide a compelling main event, while Kelani Jordan and Wren Sinclair could deliver one of the night’s most interesting matches.

We’re also looking forward to seeing what the wheel has in store for Zilla Fatu and Charlie Dempsey, and whether Myles Borne and Tavion Heights can settle their differences without requiring medical attention for half the locker room.

But let’s return to the most important question.

WHERE THE HELL IS CHANTEL MONROE?!

WWF management, you’ve got less than twenty-four hours to correct this outrageous oversight.

We’re not asking for much.

Just a surprise appearance from one of our favorite young wrestlers, perhaps a little Halloween mischief, and preferably an opportunity for Stinger to remind everybody that her exceptional ring awareness is among the finest in professional wrestling.

Is that really too much to ask?

And if she doesn’t appear, well, I suppose we’ll have to settle for six wrestling matches and an evening of Halloween entertainment.

How terribly disappointing!

We’ll return tomorrow with our traditional Halloween Havoc card preview, and afterward we’ll find out which of us deserves bragging rights for our predictions when we post our exclusive results. And there had better be a Chantel involvement, or there’s going to be hell to pay.

Until then, enjoy your Halloween festivities, keep an eye on the mysterious wheel, and remember that sometimes the greatest treat is the one you weren’t expecting.

Just ask Thalia about Linnea Quigley.

On second thought, DON’T.

We’ll never get her to stop talking.

Wrestling Matters.

— Stinger & Maddie, reporting from the rafters of the Halls of Titanquisitor, where the predictions are questionable, the Halloween decorations are excessive, and the Monroe twins remain undefeated in the court of public opinion.
