AEW WrestleDream 2026 Preview & Predictions

All Elite Wrestling returns to pay-per-view tonight with AEW WrestleDream 2026 LIVE from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida!

Eight matches are scheduled for the main card, including seven championship matches and the debut of a brand-new stipulation, Clockwork Carnage, which will see Will Ospreay defend the AEW World Championship against seven challengers!

The first-ever Clockwork Carnage Match features Ospreay, Samoa Joe, Mike Bailey, Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, Ricochet, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland. Two competitors will start the match, with another entering every three minutes. Wrestlers can be eliminated by pinfall or submission until all eight have entered, at which point a fifteen-minute scoring period begins. The competitor with the most falls when time expires will be crowned AEW World Champion!

Seven other matches round out the main card, including Mercedes Moné defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Thekla, while the Young Bucks put the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the line against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight.

The AEW World Trios Championship will also be defended in a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match when Swerve Strickland and The New Level face Hangman Adam Page and Brodido.

Jon Moxley defends the AEW Continental Championship against Mark Davis, while Andrade El Ídolo puts the AEW National Championship on the line against Tommaso Ciampa.

In women’s action, TBS Champion Persephone faces Queen Aminata, Dani Luna, and Hyan in a Four-Way Championship Match.

Chris Jericho will also face Nick Wayne in the rubber match of their rivalry, with Jericho required to publicly apologize to Wayne if he loses.

The Tailgate Brawl pre-show will feature FTR taking on the Motor City Machine Guns in the first match of their Best Three-Out-of-Five Series, with the eventual series winner earning an AEW World Tag Team Championship opportunity. Also on the pre-show, the Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) battle Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross).

The previously scheduled AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match has been removed from the card following an injury to Jamie Hayter.

AEW WrestleDream 2026 takes place Saturday, October 17, LIVE from Orlando, Florida. The Tailgate Brawl pre-show begins at 6 p.m. CT, with the main pay-per-view starting at 7 p.m. CT on HBO Max PPV!

Stinger’s View

There’s certainly no shortage of wrestling on this card, and I’m particularly interested in seeing how Clockwork Carnage works. It’s a unique concept, although I suspect I’ll need a calculator and possibly a notepad to keep track of everything happening. I’m also looking forward to FTR against the Motor City Machine Guns, which really should be on the main card, but apparently Tony Khan couldn’t find room among the other eight matches.

As usual, AEW has assembled an impressive collection of talent, and I expect several of these matches to deliver. Whether we really needed another pay-per-view just three weeks after All Out is another question entirely.

I’ve already broken down every match and made my picks in the latest edition of A View From the Rafters, including who I think will leave Orlando as AEW World Champion.
