Titan Quest II release date has finally been announced…

THQ Nordic and Grimlore Games announced (apparently two days ago and I missed it somehow) that Titan Quest II will officially leave Early Access and launch in full on January 19, 2027, for PC and finally PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

For me, the important part of that sentence is PlayStation 5.

Titan Quest is one of my all-time favorite games, so naturally I’ve been following Titan Quest II ever since it was announced. But I’ve also gone out of my way to avoid most of the Early Access coverage. I haven’t wanted to watch hours of gameplay, dig through every update, or spoil the experience before I can actually sit down and play the finished game myself. I don’t typically play PC, though I do play the original some on PC, but for Titan Quest II I’ve been waiting for the PS5 release.

And now I finally know when that’s happening.

Titan Quest II has been in Early Access for roughly a year and a half, with Grimlore Games using that time to expand and refine the game based on feedback from players. According to THQ Nordic, hundreds of thousands of players have already taken part in the Early Access period, giving the developers a pretty substantial army of testers before version 1.0 arrives.

During that time the game has received new locations, new masteries, additional powers, more loot, and continued expansions to its core systems. The big draw remains the mastery system, which follows in the footsteps of the original Titan Quest by allowing players to combine different masteries and build characters around the playstyle they actually want instead of being shoved into one rigid class.

That system was one of the things that made the original Titan Quest so good in the first place.

Titan Quest never needed to reinvent the action RPG. It gave you Greek mythology, satisfying combat, piles of loot, huge areas to explore, and enough character-building freedom to keep you thinking about what you wanted to try next. It was the kind of game where creating another character always sounded like a good idea, even when you already had one perfectly good character sitting there waiting to finish the game.

Titan Quest II takes that formula back into the world of ancient Greek mythology, this time with Nemesis, Goddess of Retribution, at the center of the story. Version 1.0 is being pitched as the point where everything Grimlore has been building throughout Early Access finally comes together into the complete game.

Thankfully, full release apparently isn’t the end of the road either. THQ Nordic says Titan Quest II will continue receiving updates and expansions after launch, including new lands, features, and additional adventures. The publisher is also teasing more announcements in the months leading up to release, including information about pre-order bonuses, a mysterious creature, and some kind of hidden treasure.

Whatever that turns out to mean.

Pricing has also been confirmed. Titan Quest II will launch at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles.

Titan Quest II is being developed by Grimlore Games and published by THQ Nordic. It launches January 19, 2027, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
