Lies of P Crosses 4 Million Copies Sold

ROUND8 Studio and NEOWIZ have announced that Lies of P has crossed 4 million cumulative units sold globally. The milestone comes less than a year after the game hit 3 million, which is a strong sign that the game has maintained real momentum well past its September 2023 launch.

Lies of P is one of the better Soulslike games to come out in recent years, a single-player action RPG set in a dark reimagining of the Pinocchio story during the late 19th century Belle Époque era. It earned a reputation as one of the standout entries in the genre and clearly found an audience that kept growing through word of mouth.

The DLC expansion Lies of P: Overture, released in June 2025, has also been well received, picking up several awards including Best DLC at the New York Game Awards, Best Game Expansion at the Golden Joystick Awards, and Best DLC or Expansion from the Lenovo 3DJuegos Awards among others. The expansion is a prequel set in Krat during its final days, adding new weapon combinations and Legion Arms alongside new story content.

Patriot’s Point: That’s a deserved number that will continue to grow. Lies of P was the first Soulslike game that ever grabbed my attention enough to make me see it through to completion. Was my GOTY in 2023, and the sequel, whenever it comes, will be a day-one purchase for me. If you haven’t played Lies of P before, you should, it’s a fantastic experience and one that I need to revisit.
