In Dragon’s Dogma 2, both player Arisen and AI companions (Pawns) have access to four basic Starter Vocations and two Advanced Vocations.
However, you, the Arisen, get access to four additional Hybrid Vocations that Pawns cannot utilize.
These are the four Hybrid Vocations included in Dragon’s Dogma 2 at launch:
Mystic Spearhand
As a Mystic Spearhand, you’ll wield both melee and magick attacks. Your weapon of choice is a unique one to the class, the Duospear.
Spearhands can use magick that paralyzes enemies or hurl objects at them.
Magick Archer
Magick Archers are a long-range focused Vocation. Armed with magickal arrows, Magick Archers can both deal widespread damage and also support allies.
Trickster
The Trickster is a fully unique Vocation new to Dragon’s Dogma 2 and doesn’t appear to actually be a Hybrid of any announced Vocation at launch.
Tricksters rely on illusions, utilizing smoke from the Censer (a unique weapon) to blind enemies, create false pathways to lure enemies to their death. Tricksters can buff the power of Pawns and also scout the battlefield.
Warfarer
The Warfarer is another new to Dragon’s Dogma 2 vocation that is the jack of all trades. A hybrid of everything, the Warfarer can learn skills and weapons from each of the other vocations. If you want to use daggers and bows, like the Strider in the OG game, the Warfarer is the only Vocation that will allow you to do that.
As a trade off to their customization, the Warfarer gets lower base stats.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 releases on March 22nd for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. You can pre-order now for $69.99 for the Standard Edition. (The link is an Amazon Affiliate link).
